Hilton Osaka has launched new beverage discount at My Place bar on Thursday nights offering up to 40% off of alcoholic beverages for ladies wearing high heels!
The discount starts at 10% and maxes out at 40% and is entirely dependent of the height of the heels.
You can access Hilton Osaka’s My Place bar here.
Here’s an excerpt from Japan Times (access the entire piece here):
Hoping to shore up its credentials as a stylish, sophisticated establishment, My Place is giving discounts on food and beverage orders from women wearing heels, and the higher their heels, the more they’ll save.
To qualify as “high,” the heels must be at least five centimeters (two inches), which gets you 10 percent off any non-course meal menu options, including My Place’s selection of craft beers, organic wines, and cocktails. Each additional two centimeters of heel height ups the discount, with heels seven to nine centimeters shaving 15 percent off the tab, nine to 11 centimeters 20 percent, 11 to 13 centimeters 25 percent, and 13 to 15 centimeters 30 percent. Go beyond 15 centimeters (5.9 inches), and there’s an extra bonus as the discount tops out at 40 percent off.
Officially called the High Heels Ladies’ Night Discount, the service is offered on Thursday nights between 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
I have stayed at the Hilton Osaka several times and it is a solid hotel in the city, although both the InterContinental and St. Regis obviously are superior. The brand new Conrad should be open or about to open now.
Now sure what to think about this high heels promotion. Sounds bit sexist, right?
