New Mileage Earning Opportunities With Booking.com & Avianca LifeMiles – 4 Miles Per US$ Spent Until September 30th 2017

Avianca LifeMiles announced a new partnership and current promotional offer for hotel bookings made through Booking.com where members can earn up to 4 Lifemiles per USD spent on hotels.

While earning miles for bookings on various websites is nothing new, booking.com usually has very realistic prices and at times even special rates available that can make it worthwhile booking there.

We have covered several earning options such as the popular Rocketmiles over the years but usually the hotels available on these sites are often limited and prices not comparable to competing sites (obviously somehow they have to pay for the generous mileage packages that are sometimes advertised there).

I received the email from LifeMiles including the mandatory (as per T&C) link that directs you to the landing page.

You can access the booking.com / LifeMiles partner page here.

Until September 30th 2017 customers can now earn 4 LifeMiles per USD of all hotel bookings.

I recommend to compare if it’s worth it to forego possibly more lucrative bonus offers such as for example higher promotional coupons plus Orbucks as available on Orbitz or hotels own loyalty programs.

Conclusion

It can never hurt to collect a few extra miles along the way but keep in mind that it’s only worth it for independent hotels that don’t operate their own loyalty program since third party bookings usually disqualify customers from obtaining any benefits or points.

LifeMiles can be purchased for $15 per 1000 either during promotions or during the booking process through cash+miles so one should take that value into account when deciding where to book.

There are some Terms & Conditions for collecting Lifemiles on Booking.com:

Only bookings made in the partnership site will stand to earn LifeMiles. If you close the window or leave the site, you need new exclusive access via: http://www.booking.com/index.html?aid=1263112&label=LifeMiles-Other-AccrualRules where your LifeMiles membership number shall be inserted in the designated fields (LifeMiles membership number) at the time of booking in order to earn miles.

The Lifemiles to be accrued as the result of the actual stay at a property, will be calculated according to the net fare (taxes excluded) of the total booking.

You cannot change bookings made through other channels/sites to add your LifeMiles membership number and earn miles.

Process to earn your LifeMiles as a result of booking your accommodation with Booking.com may take up to 10 weeks after you have checked-out of the property. If you require assistance, or would like to report miles which have not been credited in your account after this period, please contact Booking.com’s customer service at customer.service@booking.com

Only registered customers in the LifeMiles Program are eligible for the accrual of LifeMiles miles.

It is the customer’s responsibility to correctly identify and add their LifeMiles membership number. In the event the LifeMiles membership number is typed in incorrectly or the client does not fill their LifeMiles number in the designated fields during the booking flow (LifeMiles membership number), LifeMiles and Booking.com will not be responsible for the accrual of the calculated miles.

It is not common but in some cases, guests will need to provide proof of accommodation. For this purpose, we encourage all guests to keep their payment voucher, bank statement or accommodation invoice in order to correctly prove their stay and ask for the accrual of the miles earned for said stay.

Miles accrued for booking accommodation with Booking.com are not eligible for your LifeMiles Elite Status.

Booking.com’s general Terms and Conditions apply to all hotel bookings.
