Many hotel programs have Friends and Family rates available for F&F of hotel employees that are (sometimes heavily) discounted (only available when hotels have excess capacity to offload).
Le Club AccorHotels has similar program too for employees and their F&F in at least Belgium, Greece, Italy, Israel, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland and United Kingdom through December 31, 2017.

Note that employees must have been employed minimum of 6 months before they have access to these F&F vouchers or employee rates.
The availability of the F&F rate was bit scarce when I made few searches. Employees weren’t facing same issue and the rates were great as one could expect.
Conclusion
Travel industry tends not to pay very well but the travel perks (if employees have enough time off and money) and rates are usually good and Accor is not an exception, although nothing beats Hyatt’s completely free employee nights.
Some chains have these Friends & Family rates available. It sometimes pay to know people working for hotel chains.
