Last week, I decided to make a donation to the striking British Airways Mixed Fleet flight attendants and wired 500 Euros to support their cause.
BA has a number of flight attendant unions and the Mixed Fleet was formed to replace the more expensive Worldwide (WW) in the long term. It seems that the pay promises that BA made to the Mixed Fleet FAs was not kept.
Note that this was my personal donation.
If there are readers who also would like to support this cause, here’s the info:

Conclusion
I believe that the BA management is making a huge mistake here fighting with their employees over hardly anything. Business is not rocket science. You pay your employees well and treat them with respect. If you pay them below living wage, what do you think will happen with service levels and retention?
And I don’t believe that all the unions are necessarily “good”, but employees and management must work together.
Look at what has happened with Alitalia and Air France. The former is in bankruptcy and might end up in liquidation after years of “restarts” and the latter is launching a separate airline to overcome high costs within it’s main unit.
