Yesterday, I found myself flying using the Finland’s flag carrier Finnair from Helsinki to Riga. The flight was actually operated by Norra (Nordic Regional Airlines) that is in essence Finnair express carrier.
Finnair has very basic complimentary service in short-haul economy that consists of complimentary coffee, tea, water, and blueberry juice. Oneworld Emerald members + one companion, however, can choose complimentary beverage from the Sky Bistro menu! This is not disclosed anywhere.
So, looking at the pricing charged, you should probably choose the champagne that is the same that Finnair serves at their Premium non-Schengen lounge in Helsinki.
Sky Bistro Menu:
I believe that this is a great way to keep Oneworld Emerald members hydrated on these flights where basically all adult beverages are chargeable. I wish that other airlines would institute similar changes and offer complimentary snack item as well.
Not sure how this works in long-haul economy where beer and wine are complimentary during the meal service?
