Singapore Airlines today emailed its KrisFlyer members about the partnership with Alaska Airlines that is effective today (September 27, 2017). Alaska Airlines already made its announcement public few weeks back (read more here).
KrisFlyer has now released the earning information for Alaska flights as well as redeeming miles. This partnership is basically continuing the one that the airline has had with Virgin America that Alaska bought and which will cease to exist next year (the brand is retired).
You can access Singapore Airlines here.
Note that there is no announcement for Alaska Airlines partnership on Singapore Airlines website at all.
The KrisFlyer has merely added the earning info on the PDF and partner award info on the page where the non-Star Alliance awards can be found.
KrisFlyer Alaska Airlines Earning:
All fare classes earn 100% award miles on KrisFlyer.
KrisFlyer Alaska Airlines Award Chart:
The T&Cs state that these would only be valid on NON-STOP flights that is not very good. You would need to pay separately for connecting flights. The taxes would be minimal.
The non-stop awards are very reasonably priced using KrisFlyer miles, although the “first” class awards (in reality business) are expensive.
Always good to have more partners where one can earn and burn miles.
