Hilton Honors has launched new bonus offer for 5,000 bonus points for two stays between October 1 – December 31, 2017.
The offer terms state that this offer would be only open for City Hilton Visa card holders but I was able to register successfully (don’t have the card). You can settle the folio per the T&Cs using any Visa card and earn the bonus points.

Interesting that Hilton Honors is having a promotion for a card that is basically going away at the end of the year when American Express becomes exclusive partner with the company.
Should be easy 5,000 bonus points for those members that are able to sign up for this offer. Seems that requirement of having Citi Visa card is not enforced.

AMEX just launched exactly the same offer for AMEX Hilton cardholders. I don’t feel confident successful promotion registration itself will enough to get this promotional points. In my vague memory for the similar promotion (for Citi/AMEX Hilton cardholders), you’re required either to book/reserve using their card or pay with their co-branded card (Can’t remember exactly which way it was…)

Have just subscribed to this promo half way through a reward stay. How do I make sure this stay posts as qualifying for this promo. When I booked many months ago, I used an old generic amex and upon check in swiped my amex platinum…no bill to pay as of yet.
The T&Cs require you to book after registering. I would settle the bill if you have one using Visa or Amex and hope for the best. Note that you do need two stays.
You can actually register for both offers (I have and don’t have either of these cards) and at least the Visa one is tracking on my offers on Hilton’s website. Neither of these two promotions actually requires you to pay using their affiliated card. Generic Visa or Amex will do.
I have now done second piece about the Amex offer.
Same here, I signed up for both but for some reason the Amex offer doesn’t track in my offers, but the Visa one does. Well I’ve completed the first Amex stay and will complete the second one in November, and inbetween I’ll have two Visa stays too, so we’ll see what I get (if anything).
I am checking in today for the first stay using Visa and tomorrow for the second one. Planning to do the Amex experiment next week. These Hilton promotions don’t often track so it doesn’t necessarily mean much.
True, we shall see. I just replied on the other LL thread (for the offer for Amex) that so far the 5k points haven’t come through even though I completed two Amex stays. I’ll send customer support a question and check with them…

What about the UK? There’s no Amex Hilton card, only the Barclaycard Platinum Visa.
Or is your comment just US centric?
They are marketing this offer for US Citi card holders. This product is going away in less than three months and hence my comment.
Does Cash+Points stay work as long as I pay with Visa?
Link is good, but message is that offer is over after signing in. I appear to be signed up for a similar offer with Amex.
