This offer is valid for sign ups until December 31, 2017, and you must complete the required three nights by February 15.

Note that the Gold status usually requires 10 nights that is reduced to just 3 for the duration of this fast track offer. I would assume that if you complete the fast track in 2018 the status is then valid until the the end if 2019.
Conclusion
IHG Rewards Club has had these Gold fast track offers with at least Virgin Atlantic in the past. Must be working for them if they are launching with other airlines as well.
