S7 Airlines Now Matching Airberlin Topbonus Status

S7 Airlines, officially Siberia Airlines, has now joined other Oneworld airlines that are offering status matches to Airberlin Topbonus members but with a twist.

S7 Oneworld Sapphire

S7 Airlines matches the equivalent status on their own programs + if you have credited S7 flights to Topbonus between October 1 – September 30, 2017, they will credit the miles to your new accounts (as long as your supply them your account statement).

Here’s the information that S7 Airlines has up on their website (access here):

Here’s information from S7 Airlines:

As Air Berlin has ceased operating flights, S7 Priority offers the members of the topbonus loyalty programme holding the Elite status the equal status of S7 Priority and the accrual of S7 Priority miles for flights with S7 Airlines taken between 01.10.2016 and 30.09.2017, even if these flights were accounted for in the topbonus programme earlier.

Instant Elite Status.

Elite members of topbonus can become members of the S7 Priority loyalty programme before 31.12.2017 and submit a photo of their topbonus Elite status card or a screenshot of their topbonus personal account via the feedback form in the S7 Priority Personal Account. The equivalent status of S7 Priority will be assigned to the member after he or she takes the flight with S7 Airlines as an S7 Priority member if the flight is taken before the end of 2018.

Mileage Accrual.

To earn S7 Priority miles, members of topbonus can become members of the S7 Priority loyalty programme and submit their number in the topbonus programme via the feedback form in the S7 Priority Personal Account. Miles for flights with S7 Airlines taken from 01.10.2016 to 30.09.2017 will be credited to a new account of the S7 Priority programme according to the rules for mileage accrual of the S7 Priority loyalty programme no later than 30 days after your request. The offer is valid until 01 October 2018.

Conclusion

Let’s see if there are matches outside of Oneworld for Airberlin Topbonus members. Now all the “European” + Royal Jordanian Oneworld airlines are participating to some sort of status match to former Airberlin fliers, although the airline is still flying for 6 days!

This S7 Airlines match is unique in a sense that they are also giving miles for their own flights that you may have credited to Topbonus for up to a year before their collapse.
