Last month, I wrote about an offer (read more here) that a reader had seen once logged to his IHG Rewards Club account in Asia. Now that I am in the region, I came across the very same offer that is in fact open for all members in the region.
IHG Rewards Club Gold, Platinum and Spire Elite members in Asia-Pacific (Greater China excluded), Middle East & Africa can earn 2,000 bonus points for downloading the IHG app plus up to 15,000 bonus points for three stays booked using the app and consumed by December 31, 2017.

Note that Greater China is China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
The number of bonus points that IHG lists on the front page is incorrect. Members that haven’t used the app previously get 2,000 points for downloading and signing it using their credentials.
Gold members then get 3,000 bonus points, Platinum members 4,000 bonus points and Spire Elite 5,000 for the each of the three app bookings consumed by December 31, 2017.
This is absolutely the best part. Seems that IHG has completely botched the registration for this promotion. You need to register for this offer but the promo registration box or link is NOT included on the page for this offer at all. You can register, however, using this link.

The T&Cs state that this offer would be targeted. How could it be targeted when it is featured on their home page and everyone who has their account in Asia-Pacific (excluding Greater China), Middle East or Africa can register??
Nobody who follows IHG promo instructions on that page to merely to download the app, make the bookings and consume the stays will see their bonus points to post. The promo sign up link is missing. Can this be IHG’s strategy in Singapore from where this promo is run?
I will have three IC stays this week for this offer and I would assume that the 15,000 bonus points should post sometime next week. Will write an update if they do.

Must be an IHG® Rewards Club member. Only available for Gold Elite, Platinum Elite or Spire Elite members residing in Asia Pacific (excluding China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), the Middle East and Africa.
