I wouldn’t get my hopes up for having working Star Alliance redemption tool using KrisFlyer miles anytime soon knowing how bad the interface is for using miles for their own flights. How could it be any better for Star Alliance?

The phone booking fee is waived for awards that cannot be booked online that probably is majority of Star Alliance ones even when this new booking facility is introduced.
