SPG Pay Your Birth Year For The Second Night (And Perhaps Third) In The United States, Canada & Caribbean

SPG has interesting rate plan where the price of the second and sometimes the third night is dependent of your birth year. This especially good for those born in 2000 that turn 18 next year and will have their second night and/or third adjusted to ZERO.

SPG Pay Your Birth Year

This rate offer is available for weekend stays at participating hotels in the United States, Canada and Caribbean. Some resorts may add $100 to the birth year but this is disclosed in the rate rules.

You can access this offer on SPG’s website here.

Here are two rate displays:

Sheraton Cerritos

Le Westin Montreal

Here the rate plan would have been available any date of the week until the end of 2017 but the plan wasn’t loaded for any date in 2018. Also, you could book it for three nights.

Conclusion

This is one of those interesting offers that is likely to go away once SPG booking engine is gone and integrated to Marriott’s.

This is probably too good offer anyway in the coming years when those born in the 21st century would start traveling and could check into hotels and have their second and third nights adjusted to zero or few dollars.

You have to bear in mind that the base rate is based on the Best Flexible one that is likely very high and hotels tend to discount heavily during weekends when business travel is slow. You should always check all the available rates.
