IHG Rewards Club has brought back the Advent Calendar for program members in the European Union excluding Italy.
Members can play Iggy game once per day and win prizes (and boost their chances by posting to their social media feed as well).

These Advent Calendars are huge deal in Europe and I remember having one when being a kid (getting one chocolate every morning in December until the 24th).
Now, many companies have their versions with offers and prizes to get people to play games and come back daily.
Here are the terms and conditions of this promotion:
- THE PROMOTION: The following terms and conditions set out how you can enter into our IHG Advent Calendar competition to win a prize every day for 25 days from 1st – 25th December 2017. By entering the Promotion, the Entrant agrees to be unconditionally bound by these terms and conditions.
- THE PROMOTER: The promoter of this Promotion is IHG Hotels Limited, of Broadwater Park, North Orbital Road, Denham, Buckinghamshire, UB9 5HR, England. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
- ELIGIBILITY AND LIMITATIONS:
- The Promotion is open to all legal residents in the European Union, excluding Italy, Turkey and Russia. It is only open to those aged 18 years or over. Those under the age of 18 cannot participate in the Promotion and even if they do participate and win, they will not be awarded the Prize.
- Employees of the Promoter, their parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies (“Employees”) and employees of IHG branded hotels (“Hotel Employees”) as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such Employee or Hotel Employee are eligible to enter the Promotion, but will be placed in a separate draw of entrants made up of only such Employees and Hotel Employees
- Entrants can be members or non-members of IHG® Rewards Club.
- In entering the Promotion, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any Prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Promotion and/or claim any Prize you may win.
- Entry Limitations – The following entry limitations apply:
- The Promoter will not accept entries that are: automatically generated by computer; completed by third parties; completed in bulk; incomplete; illegible; altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with.
- There is a limit of one entry per person per day. However, if an Entrant either (i) reposts their entry to their own personal social media account (Facebook or Twitter); and (ii) is an IHG® Rewards Club member and adds their membership number to their entry form, the Entrant will receive a maximum of two further free entries into the Promotion per day. Therefore, the maximum number of entries per day for any IHG® Rewards Club member would be three.
- Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
- The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify the Entrant if the Entrant’s conduct, in the sole discretion of the Promoter, is contrary to these terms and conditions or otherwise the spirit or intention of the Promotion.
- The Promoter reserves the right to request that the Entrant remove any offensive, infringing or inappropriate social media posts regarding the Promoter or this Promotion and the Entrant agrees to immediately take down such posts.
- There are Prize limitations and these are set down in condition 6.
- STARTING DATE AND CLOSING DATE
- The Promotion begins on 1 December 2016 at 00:00 Greenwich Mean Time (“GMT”) (“Opening Date”) and ends on 25th December 2016 at 23:59 GMT (“Closing Date”) (the “Promotional Period”). Entrants will be able to enter to win a prize every day during the Promotional Period (“Daily Promotion”). The Winners will be announced on the Announcement Date as defined in clause 9.1.
- All entries for each Daily Promotion must be received by the Promoter in accordance with the entry process as set down in condition 5 by no later than 23:59 on that particular day. All entries received for the Daily Promotion after 23:59 will not be entered into the Daily Promotion.
- HOW TO ENTER
- To enter the Promotion, visit the IHG Rewards Club Promotion website at adventcalendar.ihgrewardsclub.com and follow the instructions.
- Employees and Hotel Employees will be prompted to enter unique codes (to be communicated to them by Promoter separately) on the website in the ‘Promo Code’ field to differentiate them from other entrants, ensuring that there are two draws of entrants.
- No purchase necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the Promoter’s website.
- The Promoter will not accept:
- entries that are incomplete, late, or otherwise defective, regardless of cause, including, for example, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind;
- proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Promotion;
- the sharing of a Promotion post on any personal timelines as an entry into the Promotion except for the reposting of a Promotion post on social media websites (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) which shall constitute a bonus additional entry.

- For each Daily Promotion, there will be one specified prize available
- One prize per day of the Daily Promotion will be for the winner of entrants of the draw only for Employees or Hotel Employees and one prize per day of the Daily Promotion is available for all other entrants.
- Prizes are not negotiable or transferable. Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the Prizes save that the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a Prize with a Prize of equal or greater value.
- SELECTION OF WINNERS
- At 00:01 on each day during the Promotion Period, one Winner will be drawn at random by an independent third party agency from the Employee and Hotel Employee entries using a random computerised draw and one Winner will be drawn at random by that independent third party agency from all other entries using the same random computerised draw method. The result of draws will be final.
- WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
- The list of Winners (name and country) of the Promotion will be available upon written request to The IHG Rewards Club Team, InterContinental Hotels Group, Broadwater Park, North Orbital Road, Denham, Buckinghamshire, UB9 5HR.
- The result of the draw by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
- By consenting to these Terms and Conditions entrants consent for their name and country of residence to be provided on request to other entrants, as per paragraph 8.1 above.
- CLAIMING THE PRIZE
- The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the Winner via the email address provided with the entry. The Winner must, within 7 days of being notified as the Winner, confirm to the Promoter by return email that he/she wishes to accept the Prize and must provide the information requested by the Promoter. All details regarding how to accept the Prize will be included in the initial contact email from the Promoter to the Winner.
- If the Winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their Prize within 7 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to draw another Winner for the Prize.
- The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on a Winner’s behalf. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if a Winner is not able to take up the Prize.
- In order to receive prizes that are in the form of a specified amount of IHG® Rewards Club points, you will first need to register as an IHG® Rewards Club member. There is no charge for such registration.
- Where shipping is required, shipping of the Prize will be carried out by the Promoter’s third party agent and delivery will take place within 30 days from the date the Winner confirms his/her information and acceptance of the Prize to the Promoter. Prizes will only be shipped to addresses in Europe (excluding Italy, Russia and Turkey). Returns are not allowed unless damaged or inoperable in which case we will replace the item. In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact the IHG Rewards Club team via email at email@example.com in the first instance, as soon as possible, and within 2 business days of receiving the item, to obtain an authorisation for return. After we authorise a return, we will provide additional instructions for replacement. Most Prizes are accompanied by a manufacturer’s warranty. You are encouraged to contact IHG in the first instance regarding all warranty-related inquiries.
- Prizes may vary in colour, make or model type from the specific make or model of the Prize displayed on the Advent Calendar promotion site. Promoter makes no undertaking to provide Prizes exactly as displayed on the Promotion site. In the event that an item becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to provide an item of equal or greater value and quality.
- LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY
- By accepting a Prize, the Winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Promoter and its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, agencies and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Promotion or receipt of, use or misuse of any Prize.
- The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person’s computer account resulting from participating in this Promotion, or mistranscribed data; (3) unauthorized human intervention or human error which may occur in any part of the entry process or the process for allocating the prize(s); (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen post; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any Prize. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Promotion, if it is possible.
- Nothing in this section shall exclude the Released Parties’ liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability whose limitation is prohibited by law.
- Facebook, Twitter and Instagram may not be held liable for any claim arising from an Entrant’s participation in the Promotion or taking up a Prize.
- OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
- All entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt.
- You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry, your name available on its website, www.ihg.com , its social media pages, and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the Promotion.
- During the course of, and following the completion of, the Promotion you shall not use any logo or trademark belonging to the Promoter in connection with this Promotion or otherwise, including postings on social media the creation of any other material, without the prior written approval of the Promoter.
- DATA PROTECTION
- By entering the Promotion, you agree that the Promoter or its agents and suppliers may use:
- any personal data provided by you with your entry to administer the Promotion;
- your name, image and town and/ or county of residence if you are the Winner (and except where prohibited) to announce the Winner; and
- you have the right to object, for a legitimate purpose, to the collection of your personal data, a right to access the collected data and a right to have the processed data rectified, completed, blocked or deleted. Certain personal data are necessary to administer the Promotion. If you exercise your right to object to the processing of such personal data prior to the end of the Promotion, your participation will be cancelled.
- Personal data relating to members of IHG® Rewards Club is processed in accordance with the Membership Terms and Conditions of IHG Rewards Club: www.ihg.com/terms
- This agreement is drafted in the English language and purely for reference purposes is also drafted in French, German and Spanish.
- The English language version of this agreement and any notice or other document relating to this agreement, shall prevail if there is a conflict between translated versions.

- If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion for the safe and fair development of the Promotion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Promotion.
- The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
- If any provision(s) of these Terms and Conditions (or any part thereof) are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions (or any part thereof) hereof will remain in full force and effect.
