Neither Fairmont nor Swissotel have emailed their loyalty program members what will happen with President’s Club and Circle next year. Let’s see if there is an email coming from these programs later today.

You can access Accor’s web page for Fairmont, Swissotel and Raffles here.

Here’s the information that Le Club AccorHotels sent out today:

As you may be aware, in July 2016, AccorHotels welcomed Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts to our collection of luxury properties.

The addition of these renowned brands offer our guests even more choice with iconic and celebrated hotels such as: The Savoy in London, Raffles Singapore, The Plaza in New York and Le Royal Monceau – Raffles in Paris.

And now there is even more to get excited about because, as of 2 July 2018, Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts will welcome Le Club AccorHotels members globally! From this date, members will receive all the benefits of their Le Club AccorHotels membership including Status and Rewards points for every eligible stay.

To reward members during this interim period, if you join the Fairmont President Club and/or Swissôtel Circle* loyalty programmes now, and stay at these brands from 1 January 2018, we will add these room nights to the total of your membership activity in contribution to your overall Le Club AccorHotels status as of 2 July 2018.

We remain at your disposal if you have any questions about the upcoming change.

Your member benefits in Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts

Now there is even more to get excited about because, of 2 July 2018, Fairmont and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts throughout Asia Pacific will extend dining benefits to Accor Plus members. You will also receive Accor Plus member rates, earn Le Club AccorHotels Status and Rewards points with every eligible stay, and receive great offers.

From 1 January 2019, the Stay Plus complimentary room night will be available at all Fairmont and Swissôtel hotels throughout Asia Pacific with the same terms and conditions that apply to other AccorHotels brands in the region.

At Raffles Hotels, Accor Plus members will enjoy the recognition and soft benefits commensurate with their status and will be able to earn Le Club AccorHotels Rewards points; however, no Accor Plus specific benefits will be available.

To reward members during this interim period, if you join Fairmont President’s Club and/or Swissôtel Circle loyalty programs now, and stay at either of those brands from 1 January 2018, we will add these rooms nights to the total of your membership activity so these also contribute to your overall Le Club AccorHotels status from 2 July 2018.

We remain at your service if you have any questions about the upcoming change.

Conclusion

It is interesting that Accor has decided to merge these programs mid-year. Usually these tend to take place at the end of the year that would be cleaner for all parties invoved.

It is very entertaining to see what the Le Club AccorHotels Platinum benefits will be at the Fairmont, Swissotel and Raffles properties and how satisfied President’s Club members will be with their new program with not very well defined or confirmed benefits (based on availability etc. and other nonsense).

Then there are some President’s Club members with Lifetime Platinum status due to the Living Social deal back in 2012. Wonder how Le Club AccorHotels is going to handle these members that should get yearly vouchers for free nights, upgrades and $$$?
