Last week, I wrote (read more here) about receiving the welcome email when reaching more than 100 consumed nights in 2017 and thus becoming SPG Ambassador assisted guest.
Sebastian also wrote about similar initiate from Hyatt and not being assigned one of their agents for months after hitting the required number of nights (read more here).
You can access SPG’s web page for Ambassador service here.

When I wrote the piece last week, the personal Ambassador hadn’t been assigned to my account yet. The first indication was that a name popped up on my account:
And a day later received the following email:
If the SPG Ambassador had been on ball, she would have realized that I was actually staying at the time at one of their properties in Ho Chi Ming City and likely wouldn’t be very happy to be called at 2AM local time when I was likely in deep sleep.
I was bit surprised that she didn’t check her computer and see that I was at the Sheraton Ho Chi Minh City when she wrote the email. She could have just reached me there during the regular hours of course and not in the middle of the night.
And this is the problem with these various services. Are you ever on the same time zone as you Ambassador?
