Finnair Plus has three tiers on its Finnair Plus frequent flier program Silver, Gold (Oneworld Sapphire) and Platinum (Oneworld Emerald).
Yesterday, Finnair unveiled new higher status called Platinum Lumo that is held at the time of launch only 93 most loyal frequent fliers.
You can access Finnair’s page for Platinum Lumo benefits here.
Platinum Lumo status requires 450,000 tier points of which minimum 300,000 must be flown by Finnair or 150 Oneworld flights of which 100 must be flown on Finnair. These requirements are triple compared to the regular Platinum and thus quite high.
The Lumo welcome gift is a Tumi carry on bag.
Here’s Platinum Lumo benefits chart:
Some of these benefits are also those that come at the Platinum (Emerald) level. Lumo members get additional 8 short and 4 long-haul upgrades.
Finnair Plus members get number of upgrades or bonus points when they hit 150K, 200K, 300K and 400K tier points within their membership year.
And Finnair PDF:
Many airlines have higher top tier statuses. BA has their Gold Guest List and Premier, American Airlines has Executive Platinum and Concierge Key, United 1K and Global Services, Lufthansa Senator and HON Cirle and so on.
Finnair here doesn’t have revenue requirement for their top tier like many other airlines have instituted. The miles or segments flown usually well correlate with the revenue but likely those Helsinki based flyers spend far more $$$$ compared to connecting passengers that have easier qualification requirements by segments.
Interesting to see if there are any soft benefits that are not listed on the web page and on the leaflet.
