IHG Rewards Club launched early January (read more here) an add-on promotion for those traveling for business and have registered for Accelerate promotion.

IHG Rewards Club Accelerate Double Points January 1 - April 30 2018

Members that reside in Asia-Pacific excluding Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), Middle East and Africa can earn double points for stays consumed on negotiated rates between January 1 – April 30, 2018.

Note that the T&Cs say that this is a targeted offer. I believe that the only criteria is the account address and that the member has registered for the Accelerate.

AMEA KNR Accelerate

Companies use AMEA in their internal lingo for Asia, Middle East and Africa. You cannot expand this to see exactly to what stay the bonus points posted.


IHG Rewards Club has had these corporate bonuses to go with Accelerate in Asia-Pacific continuously. I am still not certain if they are targeted or not but I have had them posting just fine for my stays for the previous Accelerate (my account is in the Area).

IHG has always been very slow at emailing “targeted” members for their eligibility. I never received an email about this offer yet the bonus points posted to my account.

Here are the terms and conditions of this promotion:

Must be a IHG® Rewards Club member and must register member number in advance to participate in this Offer (“Registration”). 20 points per $US1 spent (“Double Points”) will be awarded on any room rate and non-room spend with any Qualifying Stay that has been booked at the required preferred negotiated corporate rate and consumed by the member between 1 January and 30 April 2018 (both dates inclusive) at any InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites® hotels in Asia Pacific (excluding China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), Middle East and Africa. Non-room spend must be charged to your room to be settled at point of check-out and can include charges on food and beverage, room service, laundry, telephone but will not include expenses incurred with any third party that is not hotel-managed like, Spa, other restaurant concessionaires. Points will not be awarded for meeting and banquet charges, Business Centre services or any other facilities that are not managed by hotel. A Stay is defined per IHG® Rewards Club Membership Terms and Conditions as one night or consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of frequency of check-in/out (“Stay”). For purpose of this Offer under this Promotion a Stay constitutes a “Qualifying Stay” under the negotiated corporate rate. This Offer cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise stated. Only one room per member per stay at participating hotels will be awarded the applicable bonus.
