This week the Whine Wednesday-column deals with travelers with backpacks that appear to have become more common as of late.
The problem, however, with these backpacks within confined space is that people just doesn’t seem to be very good at estimating the space they take and end up hitting others inside airplanes and buses.
I guess that one of the reason for these backpacks is the reduced or zero checked luggage allowance on many airlines (fliers too cheap to pay for checked bag) and thus people try to bring whatever they need or can on-board.
Best one was this carry on guy on Transavia flight from Keflavik to Paris in August last year. Not sure how they allowed him to board with all this stuff?
People really should carry their backpacks by holding them. It is entirely different when you are outside where you have space and not that many people around.
