Hilton Honors has done a lot of revamping the program this year from discontinuing the Double Dip program, launching the rollover nights and elite night bonuses.
Now, they have updated some brand standards that deals with elite members benefits such as Diamond member parking.
You can access Hilton’s page for elite benefit changes here.
Here are the changes:
Diamond members are eligible for reserved parking and this is required at Hampton Inn and TRU hotels and voluntary at Hilton, DoubleTree, Curio and Tapestry. Hotels that have this must have proper signage.
Priority queuing is available for Diamond, Gold and digital check in guests at Hilton, DoubleTree, Curio, Tapestry and Embassy Suites hotels. This is not required though.
There are changes to Hilton Honors floors and bottled water delivery too.
I have seen quite a few posts on Facebook with Diamond member reserved parking signs at Hampton Inn hotels so this must have been widely implemented already for a while and more important in North America.
Personally, I cannot hate nothing more than hate standing in a line when checking in or out from a hotel when being a top tier. I actually argued about this with the MOD at the Hilton Amsterdam few weeks back who told me point blank that expedited check in for Diamond members is not brand standard requirement. I left.
These changes discussed above are small and not communicated to members by the program at all.
