U.S. Daily Getaways This Week: Orbitz, Marriott, Fairmont & Las Vegas Getaways

The U.S. Travel Association’s Daily Getaways are in their second last week and this time there will be offers for Marriott Gift Cards, a $1000 Orbitz Voucher and various packages for stays in Las Vegas.

Daily Getaways started early April and so far had interesting offers for those interested to save on purchases with various travel providers.

The schedule for this week is as follows:

I don’t consider the Fairmont offers and the MGM Las Vegas offers to be a very good deal, quite the opposite I think the prices are quite terrible.

You might be able to get some value from the US$1000 Orbitz Promotion Code for $650 however keep in mind that you can’t pair it with the constantly available 15% discount codes that Orbitz always has available on their website and your savings are effectively $200 and not $350 compared to just using the public offer and not having to make a $1000+ purchase at once.

On Thursday, May 3rd the Marriott Gift Cards might be an interesting offer as those are available in smaller denominations and valid worldwide:

The gift card are issued electronically and this offer provides a 20% savings, however keep in mind that when you use them at international locations there will likely be an unfavorable exchange rate used that will further push down the value of the certificate.

On Friday the last offer of the week is for a 3 night stay at The Venetian and The Palazzo which can make sense, however it’s not an excellent deal either.

The good thing about this is that all taxes and resort fees are already included. The bad thing is that there are unspecified blackout dates and it’s not exactly a super bargain so I’m definitely passing on this offer and will pay cash for my stay in Las Vegas next month.

Conclusion

It’s hard to get a really great deal out of many of these offers and it’s important to look at it objectively before purchasing them.

I really liked some of the previous offers including the one for Hertz last week. I will wait for the Hyatt offer next week to be active and add a few extra World of Hyatt Points to my account if I can manage to purchase them.

We will update our readers one more time next week for the last round of the campaign in 2018.
