Hotel employees sometimes work under stress and may not always like the guest with whom they are dealing with. They should not, however, never lose they coolness like what happened at the Country Inns & Suites in Newport News this week.
Non-smoking guest was given a room where someone had smoked previously (Radisson properties are not all non-smoking in the US?) and Country Inns & Suites front desk clerk obviously didn’t like to switch the room (watch the YouTube video).

Here’s what was posted on Facebook:
I don’t post a lot, but my mom came down for my son’s birthday and was placed in a non smoking room that was obviously smoked in. The guy obviously had a problem with us, listen when he turns to go back in his office…….and believe me, I handled my self better than I ever thought I would.
Here’s an announcement from Radisson:
Very unfortunate incident. Hotel employees really need to have lot of patience, able to work under stress and never take on the guest however difficult they might be (I am not implying that the guest here would have been).
The front desk agent here is in the wrong line of business period. Cursing at the guest and calling names is never acceptable.
I am glad that the hotel showed him the door and the person is unlikely to find employment from this field ever again.
