How To Contact Marriott Rewards Customer Service By Phone? (Long Wait Or Nobody Ever Picks Up)

Over the past couple of weeks, I have seen many complaints online and have received messages from readers how it is practically impossible to get hold of anyone at Marriott Rewards Customer Service without being on hold for at least half an hour if not longer.

Marriott Rewards Phone

Seems that elite members also won’t get any prioritized service and agents are telling that they are being trained to deal with reservations, customer service and Marriott Rewards issues. Previously, Marriott had different set of agents for each of these functions.

You can access Marriott’s page for customer service phone numbers here.

I have had issues contacting Marriott Rewards myself due to the fact the Customer Service has always been closed when I have needed to them. They are only open 8:15AM – 9PM ET Monday to Friday and closed all weekends.

My advice to readers that have trouble contacting the Marriott Rewards or need to do it over the weekend is to utilize the worldwide numbers and call Mexico, Malaysia or UAE as I have done.

Here are the numbers:

1 801 468 4000 (8:15am – 9:00pm, Monday – Friday, US Eastern time)

Conclusion

I have found it absolutely ridiculous that Marriott Rewards doesn’t have their US lines open 7-days a week and the situation right now with the wait time or not even getting through to anyone is really worry some.

Hyatt used to have great customer service including Diamond agents and all went downhill when they decided to go with one set of agents that were supposed to be cross trained to deal with everything from reservations to suite upgrades.

Members only contact Customer Service when they have an issue that they cannot solve by themselves online. Why make them wait?
