Orbitz & Cheaptickets Price Guarantee “Enhanced” No More $50 Bonus Orbucks/Cheapcash

Orbitz and Cheaptickets, both owned by Expedia, this week stopped offering $50 bonus Orbucks or Cheapcash for members that after purchasing travel related products found lower prices on other websites.

Orbitz Price Guarantee Gone

Expedia ended $50 Best Rate coupons on their main site already back in October 2017 (read more here) but continued on their “skins” of Travelocity, Orbitz and Cheaptickets.

You can access Orbitz here and Cheaptickets here.

Here’s the new Orbitz Price Guarantee page:

Conclusion

When Expedia basically ended the Price Guarantee on their own website, it was only matter of time when this policy was going to be rolled out to their “skins” too. Surprising that it took this long.

I am not sure what are the benefits of booking now on Expedia sites if other websites are offering lower prices? I do like Expedia and Orbitz for easy of booking of airline tickets and ability to use credit cards regardless where they are issued.

I have certainly used Orbitz Price Guarantee a lot and most recently earlier this week.
