Marriott Rewards today launched Black Card for the Chinese market to celebrate Alibaba Tmall’s Super Brand Day.
Members that buy one of these cards get Platinum status for two years and can choose four 3-night hotel packages in a suite at various destinations such as W and St Regis Maldives, Ritz-Carlton Kyoto and St. Regis Osaka including great amenities.

Holders of these limited-edition cards can enjoy unique hotel packages with curated experiences across five destinations – Thailand, Japan, Maldives, UK and USA – top destinations for Chinese travelers; and five of Marriott International’s luxury brands – W Hotels, The Luxury Collection, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis and Edition.
These unparalleled experiences include Broadway VIP backstage access and cast meet-and-greets, stunning private helicopter tours over the city, personal shopper with skip-the-line service at a hip shopping collective, and exclusive artisanal chocolate-making workshops. A dedicated travel consultant will be available to help with travel arrangements.
The price may sound high. If you consider the price of a suite at the St Regis Maldives or New York plus all the extras, the price may not be that ridiculous after all.
Well. Couldn’t find any information about this card on that Alibaba’s website. I believe that they have only 10 or so cards available for sale and they have two available for each day through 29th.
