Hilton Honors launched promotion for unlimited double points in early May that has now been extended through September 9, 2018 (was ending on August 31).
Members that register for this offer will have their base points doubled (10 base + 10 bonus at most brands) for the duration of the offer.

Note that there is no booking date requirement for the stays to earn the double points (no need to cancel and rebook). Remember that Silver, Gold and Diamond member elite bonus is counted on the base bonus earned.
Hilton Honors has not yet changed the promo dates on the website or the T&Cs of this offer. Hilton Honors spokesperson confirmed today by email the new dates.
The registration for this is now open. This offer is good for those that have high folio expenses compared to the previous promotion that was based on stays and for up to 4,000 points per stay (that is still going on at the time of writing this).

Offer valid for stays completed May 1, 2018, through August 31, 2018 (“Promotion Period”) at any hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio excluding Hampton by Hilton Hotels in Mainland China. Hilton Honors™ members must first register at HiltonHonors.com/DoublePoints prior to completing a stay within the Promotion Period. Registered Hilton Honors members will only receive Bonus Points for nights completed during the Promotion Period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends. Registered Hilton Honors members will earn Double Hilton Honors Bonus Points per stay during the Promotion Period. “Double Points” means you will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay. There is no limit to the total amount of Bonus Points that may be earned during the Promotion Period with this offer. However, there are restrictions on the amount of Base Points that can be earned on a single stay at certain brands.
This offer may be terminated without notice. Bonus Points do not count toward elite tier qualification. Please allow six to eight weeks from completion of your stay for Bonus Points to appear in your account. A ‘stay’ is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again. Offer is not valid for groups and cannot be combined with other select offers. If I already have a reservation, is it eligible for the promotion?
Yes, as long as the member is registered for the promotion prior to check-out of the stay and the reservation is for an eligible stay. Regardless of when a reservation was booked, any registered guests with nights within the Promotion Period will receive the promotion bonus.
If I check-in before May 1, 2018 or check-out after August 31, 2018, do I still earn credit for that stay?
Registered Hilton Honors members will receive a bonus only for the nights of an eligible stay completed during the Promotion Period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends.
Will I receive Bonus Points with the “Double Points” promotion for any stays within the Promotion Period that I completed PRIOR to registering for the promotion?
No. Only members registered prior to check-out will receive Bonus Points with the “Double Points” promotion for nights within the Promotion Period.
When will the Bonus Points post to my Hilton Honors account?

If I have two rooms at the same time with my family, do both of those rooms count toward my promotion bonus if I am paying for them both?
A Member may earn Base Points for up to two rooms per stay, if all eligible charges for both rooms are paid on one folio. Base Points will be earned for all eligible folio charges incurred on both rooms. For any other bonuses, including Hilton Honors Marketing Partner Bonus Points and other promotional bonuses, Bonus Points will be awarded on one room only.
Will members earn Bonus Points with the “Double Points” promotion for Reward Stays for this promotion?
Members will earn Bonus Points with the “Double Points” promotion if they have incidental charges during a Reward Stay, provided such charges are deemed eligible folio charges. This does not apply to incidental charges for stays at Hampton by Hilton™, Tru by Hilton™, Homewood Suites by Hilton®, and Home2 Suites by Hilton®.
