Air Canada Aeroplan 30% IHG Rewards Club Points To Miles Conversion Bonus Through August 20, 2018 & Earning Change In June

IHG Rewards Club and Aeroplan (Aimia) have renewed their agreement where members can continue to earn miles for hotel stays.

Air Canada

Members previously earned flat 500 miles per stay (good for those inexpensive stay) at all IHG brands but this has now brought inline with other airline partners. IHG members can convert 10,000 points to 2,000 miles and Aeroplan is offering 30% conversion bonus through August 20, 2018.

You can access IHG’s page for airline partners here.

Conclusion

IHG Rewards Club and Aeroplan had very nice promotions for quadruple miles (2,000) every once in a while that were excellent for cheap one night stays. Now not so when the number of miles earned is directly tied to the price paid of the stay.

The conversion bonus might make sense for those that have more IHG points than know what to do them with and can use Aeroplan miles in useful way.
