Marriott Travel Package Conversion Chart (New & Old)

Marriott Rewards has now released their Travel Package Conversion Chart from the new to old certificates.

The conversion chart uses the MAXIMUM night values for comparison purposes and not the standard ones.

You can access Marriott’s page for combined program here.

Here’s the conversion chart that I believed would have been fair (from my earlier piece – access here):

Marriott Rewards Travel Packages New & Old Mapping

Not sure why Marriott Rewards here suddenly uses the PEAK nights values when they convert the certificates? The fair one would have been to use the STANDARD ones. Peak rates won’t be introduced until 2019

Those that redeemed for category 6, 8 and Tier 4-5 are basically losers. They get lower category new certificate than their old one would have been valid for.

I feel that Marriott may have to backpedal on this decision like they did on the lifetime Platinum Premier one that first wasn’t available for SPG members if enough members make some noise.
