2PM Late Check Out
When I checked in around 5PM, I made sure that the front desm agent keyed in 2PM late check out. Housekeeping team member was knocking at the door at 10:55AM despite the DND sign hanging outside
Picked up the phone and requested to speak with the MOD who was not available. Asked the person to get MOD to give me a call back.
Got another call at 11:05 informing me that their standard check out time is 10AM despite the fact that I had 2PM late check out.
No proper noise insulation between the rooms. Was hearing people speaking and being on the phone on the neighboring room.
Hotels in Peru take a copy of your passport in order for not having to charge sales tax. They should safeguard this information and not leave copies laying around the front desk.
The call from the Manager on Duty never materialized. Appears that she had gone hiding.
10,000 points posted after my stay that is inadequate considering that a free night at this hotel is 40,000 points.
The location of this hotel is terrible. It is up on the hill with nice views of Cuzco but getting to/from the historic city center is problematic.
It is good that this is NOT your typical HGI but done in a local Peruvian style. I just wish that they had their internal procedures in order too. It is never a good sign if MOD is hiding and not willing to speak with a guest.
