Hilton Honors launched the LXR Hotels & Resorts by converting ex-St Regis property in Dubai to Al Habtoor Palace (and later officially launching the brand itself).
It has been somewhat unclear what benefits Diamond guests can expect to receive at these LXR Hotels but Hilton has now clarified the issue on their app (thanks for a reader notifying us).
You can access Hilton’s page for Diamond benefits here.
Diamond benefits at LXR Hotels & Resorts:
You can expect to receive similar upgrades as other high-end Hilton brands such as Conrad and Waldorf-Astoria. Suites are included.
Officially it is continental only but I would assume that many will give a full breakfast spread.
Diamond members are eligible to both 1,000 points per stay and something we haven’t seen previously: locally curated amenity.
Here’s how Hilton described LXR Hotels & Resorts first:
Legendary properties found in the world’s most intriguing places set apart by an unrivaled commitment to personalized luxury.
and then changed it to:
A luxury collection of distinctive hotels and resorts offering singular service and remarkable local experiences.
I am still somewhat confused about this LXR. Is it a conversion, soft brand or perhaps both? Are these hotels franchised or managed by Hilton? The Habtoor Palace is franchised.
Interesting to see what these “locally curated amenities” turn out to be. Could be something great or perhaps not. I guess that it is up to the hotel.
