Sheraton Prague Charles Square will exit Marriott system effective January 1, 2019. The last date that you can currently book the hotel on Marriott website is for December 31.

The hotel was sold earlier this year for 42.5 million euros to a Norwegian investor that must have new plans for the property.

You can access Sheraton Prague Charles Square website here.

Conclusion

We surely soon know under what brand the new owner will have this hotel come January 1, 2019.

I would assume that all paid reservations are honored (unless the hotel is closed) but no elite benefits extended or points/elite qualifying nights earned. Not sure what is the case with award nights.

The price of the Luxury Collection hotel is usually very high, the standard rooms at the former Boscolo (now Dedica Anthology) hotel are ridiculously small despite the lobby being very grandiose, the Marriott is your typical boring “box” and airport Courtyard is convenient for early/late flights (I have stayed at all these hotels). I have not yet checked out the Courtyard hotel in the city center.

The Sheraton had the right price, location was reasonable and upgrades for SPG Platinum members good. It wasn’t the best hotel in the city but very offered very good package for SPG Platinums. Sad to see it leave the Marriott system.
