IHG Rewards Club has launched “UK Luxury Free Night” promotion for stays at the former Principal hotels (some still unconverted) in the UK between December 17 – March 31, 2019.
Members that stay two nights (don’t need to pay consecutive or at the same property) receive a free night award that is valid through October 31.

This is a great offer if you can stay two nights at above mentioned properties by March 31. These free night awards should book into regular award inventory and thus are rather easy to use.
There is no word on the T&Cs that this offer would be targeted to certain members. I believe that it is open for all.

Free Night Offer is available for IHG Rewards Club Members who register for the Offer and complete 2 nights at selected UK hotels between 17 December 2018 and 31 March 2019. Members must book (Qualifying rates only) and stay 2 nights (can be taken non-consecutively) at the following UK based hotels: Kimpton Fitzroy London; voco St David’s, Cardiff; The Met Hotel (Leeds); Principal York; Principal Manchester; Principal Edinburgh Charlotte Square; Principal Edinburgh George Street; Blythswood Square (Glasgow); and Wotton House.
