Banyan Tree & Angsana Now Le Club AccorHotels Participating

Accor took 5% minority stake in Banyan Tree back in 2016 (read more here) but decided not to exercise their option to raise it to 10% in June this year (read more here).

In November 2017, Accor informed members (read more here) that these hotels would become Le Club AccorHotels participating in 2018.

You can access Le Club AccorHotels here.

Banyan Tree and Angsana have now become without any advance notice Le Club AccorHotels participating. It is unclear what exactly the elite benefits at Banyan Tree and Angsana are, however.

There are five hotels that are nonparticipating (access Accor’s page here):

Conclusion

It was unclear what is Accor’s plan with Banyan Tree after they decided not to go ahead with 10% ownership of the company.

Seems that they will be part of Accor at least for now as they have become Le Club AccorHotels participating as of yesterday.

Would be nice to know what elite benefits members can expect at Banyan Tree and Angsana. Let’s hope that Le Club AccorHotels can soon figure them out.
