Le Club AccorHotels quietly integrated Banyan Tree, Angsana and Cassia brands to the loyalty program back in December (read more here) by just removing them from the non-participating hotel list (access the list here).
Then Le Club AccorHotels launched a promotion for members to earn quadruple points at these three brands for stays through April 14 (read more here).
You can access AccorHotels here.
The question, however, remained. What exactly are the Platinum member benefits at these hotels?
Here’s the statement that I received:
Le Club AccorHotels Platinum members are eligible for complimentary Executive Lounge access (if existing) and breakfast in Executive Lounge (if existing) or in a designated restaurant at all Banyan Tree, Angsana and Cassia properties in Asia Pacific. This benefit applies to the Platinum member and his/her registered guests in the same room.
This statement came from Accor’s office in Asia-Pacific (reason for the plentiful Asia-Pacific references), as I needed to get some clarification of benefits at these new brands (no info on the website).
You have to keep in mind that the Platinum member breakfast benefit is only valid in Asia-Pacific (when no lounge) but lounge access (Fairmonts excluded) should be worldwide.
Glad to know that Platinum members can expect to receive lounge access at Banyan Trees and I am planning to try some out now. Remember that there are few Banyan Tree properties that have decided to opt out from Le Club AccorHotels participation.
