Yesterday Marriott combined its three “separate” rewards programs (Marriott Rewards, Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest) into Bonvoy.
Several readers have reported launch events that hotels have organized for 12th, 13th and 14th of this month, and I might be attending one this evening.

Conclusion
Renaissance and W hotels in Hong Kong didn’t do anything for the Bonvoy launch this week (just stayed at both). Perhaps their General Managers are not as “excited” as Marriott about this launch?
It would be interesting to hear from readers who have attended these if they are just regular management receptions that hotels tend to have infrequently or something more grandiose.
