Marriott Bonvoy had a Fall 2018 MegaBonus that was valid for stays September 26 – January 31, 2019 that allowed members to earn bonus points based on nights consumed and brands visited.
Members were eligible to earn 2,000 bonus points for each stay of two nights or longer starting from the second stay + 1,000 bonus points for each brand starting from the second.

Now, members are reporting issues getting the brand bonus posted for one night stays. It has only been posted to stays of two nights or longer contradicting the language that Marriott used on its promo page and what Ambassadors and Lurkers were telling members.
Here’s what Marriott wrote on their web page at the time:
With MegaBonus® in More Places, you’ll earn:
- 2,000 bonus points on all stays** of two or more nights
- 1,000 bonus points per brand, starting with your second brand
NEW! Now get even more. Earn:
- 10,000 bonus points when you stay at 10 brands.
- 29,000 bonus points when you stay at 29 brands.
It seems that Marriott Bonvoy’s IT is not properly programmed to post the brand bonuses or incapable of doing so.
Members should audit their stays during the promotional period and contact Marriott Bonvoy customer service to get the missing brand bonus points posted.
