Earlier this week, we wrote about Lifetime Diamond pack for 2019 (read more here) that one of our readers had just received.
On the same piece I noted that I had requested my current night, base points and Diamond year counts but had not received them for close to two months (was promised within 10 days).
You can access Hilton’s page for Lifetime status here.
Here’s the reply I just received (took 7 weeks):
Thank you for your inquiry regarding Lifetime Diamond Tier. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us.
Please accept our sincere apology for the miscommunication.
We would like to inform you that below mentioned is the status of your Lifetime Diamond progress:
- 534 nights completed of required 1,000 Nights
- 669,454 points accumulated of required 2,000,000 Points
- 12 years as a Diamond member of required 10 Years as a Diamond member.
We would also like to inform that you would need meet any one of the requirement by completing the required nights or points accumulation to qualify as a Lifetime Diamond member.
Here’s the reply back in 2015 that took 11 minutes to receive (read more here):
Thank you for your inquiry regarding your account. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us.
I show that your account has reached Diamond status 7 times/years and you have recorded 362 lifetime nights. Please note that the number of nights recorded will include qualifying and non-qualifying nights posted to the account.
If there is anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact us. For immediate assistance, please click on the link below for the contact number of the Hilton Worldwide Service Center location nearest you.
There is no doubt that I will eventually qualify based on the number of nights CONSUMED rather than BASE POINTS earned. I probably end up this year close to 600 nights but will still be 400 short of the lifetime.
I just hope that Hilton would get their systems back up and running properly like back in 2015 when it took 11 minutes to get this information versus 7 weeks in 2019. It would be even better if this information would be available in your online account statement!
