Lufthansa is changing its Miles&More award chart effective May 9, 2019 making most reward tickets more expensive.
Members have until May 8th to redeem at the current rates. Remember that Lufthansa charges rather high carrier/fuel charges on awards making them sometimes more expensive than paid tickets (look at European economy flights).
You can access Lufthansa’s page for changes here.
Here are the changes:
As of 9th May 2019, the following important changes apply:
The mileage amount on intercontinental flights will increase for return trips in Business Class by a total of 7,000 miles, and 12,000 miles in First Class.
On flights within a continent – with the exception of Europe – the mileage amount for return trips will increase by a total of 5,000 miles. For example, you can fly from Toronto to Los Angeles in Economy Class for 35,000 miles.
The “Round the World” flight award will increase by 10,000 miles in Business Class, and 20,000 miles in First Class.
The “three region” flight award will increase by 10,000 miles in Business Class, and 20,000 miles in First Class.
For members who are residents of Egypt, Algeria, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and the USA, the regular award amounts will apply in the future.

Lufthansa Miles&More Award Chart effective May 9, 2019:
Lufthansa apparently made these changes available on its website three months before they are effective.
Miles&More award chart has not been competitive before and it is even less after these enhancements take place.
It seems that many airlines are in a race how badly they can devalue their awards and programs to the point they are starting to make very little sense.
