Last Call: Buy World Of Hyatt Points With 40% Bonus Through June 11, 2019

Right now it’s the last chance for member to take advantage of World of Hyatt’s 40% bonus for buying points (minimum for the 40% is 10,000 points to purchase) that is valid until June 11, 2019.

Members can buy up to 55,000 points every calendar year before any bonuses. Hyatt has several promotions for buying points throughout the year but they always max at 40%.

This could be interesting for those who planned on buying some extra points during the Daily Getaways but weren’t lucky to get in on one of the deals, even though the pricing isn’t all that attractive now.

You can access this offer and check your bonus on Hyatt’s website here.

Here is the Bonus Table available for this current campaign:

This is the price when you buy the maximum amount of points (55,000) at 40% bonus:

That’s about double the price than what the points cost under the U.S. Daily Getaways. It’s very hard to make a redemption work (value wise) at prices as charged here.

One option that could work is 10 Nights at Grand Hyatt Bali (8k per night – assuming one has another 3k somewhere) which would come to ~$132 all in. Considering that property sometimes goes over $200 + tax for a standard room during peak season there could be some decent savings there.

Maybe using them at properties that are very highly priced and represent good value for the customer (at least enough value based on the points purchase) would be another way. Park Hyatt Maldives or the new Park Hyatt Kyoto could be such a case. Next year the Olympics will be held in Japan and this could be a way to affordable accommodation unless hotels are blocking all standard rooms out.

Award rooms with Hyatt are available as long as standard rooms are available for sale. This means that points are usually good value if paid rates are through the roof.

Hyatt sells points several times throughout the year and the bonus usually maxes at 40% bonus. If you have been contemplating buying points then now would be the right time even though as mentioned before I find the price for purchasing Hyatt points on the high side.
