Hyatt made an announcement back on October 8, 2018 (read more here) that it had reached an agreement to acquire Two Roads Hospitality (Alila, Joie de Vivre, Thompson and Destination Hotels) and its 85 or so hotels – long awaited, the first Alila hotels will join World of Hyatt this week.
Thompson Hotels became World of Hyatt participating on March 28 and Joie de Vivre on May 15 but there wasn’t a date for Alila yet – until now, when an Alila beta website listed participation dates effective June 25th 2019.
The Alila Beta website (access here) was discovered by someone in this Flyertalk thread and it reveals some very interesting information concerning the joining date of the first Alila properties into WOH starting June 25th 2019.

I’m actually in Bali right now, and could have booked the Alila Ubud again which I really like and where I have stayed multiple times.
There’s also the Bangsar property in Kuala Lumpur, which I might be able to check in later this week if this does in fact become official.
Remember there is also Hyatt’s promotion where you earn 2000 WOH points for your first eligible stay at each of the four ‘new’ brands (Alila, Joie de Vivre, Thompson and Destination Hotels) completed by December 31, for a maximum of 8000 bonus points. No registration is required for this promotion.
Additionally you can also earn a category 1-4 free night certificate if you complete an eligible stay at each of the four brands by December 31st 2019.
The regular, official Websites of Hyatt and Alila now also confirm the 25th of June as joining dates for many Alila properties in correspondence with the previous information above.
Especially interesting is the booking requirement, as it seems to be more flexible this time. Book through Hyatt or Alila itself (hotel direct channels) at a published rate. Obviously Orbitz and other OTA’s would be excluded.
