Hilton Honors has offered very liberal status match program into its Gold and Diamond levels from competing programs for years now.
Hilton today made some changes to how this program will work from now. Matched members will get Gold status (Diamond no longer available) for 90 day trial during which they need to complete 10 nights to retain Gold or 18 nights to get Diamond. Previously Gold required 4 stays and Diamond 8 stays.
Hilton has already updated the page with the new requirements:
You get Gold trial status for 90 days. You then need to consume during that period:
- 10 nights for Gold (previously 4 STAYS)
- 18 nights for Diamond (previously 7 STAYS)
Hilton Honors matches member status from number of programs including:
- Choice Privileges
- World of Hyatt
- IHG Rewards Club
- Marriott Bonvoy
- Best Western Rewards
- Le Club AccorHotels
You must send a copy of your membership card (can be a screenshot) or your most recent account activity (screenshot too) and proof of a stay at a hotel within the past 12 months. You should black out any other information than your name and the account number. Note that you must send this information in JPG format only (PNG is quite popular today).
Acceptable forms of status validation include a screenshot of your current and active account status. Acceptable forms of stay validation include a screenshot of your recent reservations or hotel receipt, redacting any personal information other than your name and membership number. We accept .jpg files only. Please do NOT send us any personal information (including your phone number, address, social security number, date of birth, user name, passwords, or credit card information).
Once you have uploaded the info, you should hear back from Hilton Honors within a week. The Gold status is valid for 90 days and the expiry date is shown on the email. You then need to do the 10 or 18 nights (note NIGHTS not STAYS) to keep it or be upgraded to Diamond.

Hilton Honors is offering separate Gold fast track:
Note that this won’t get you any status up front. You, however, need 4 stays to complete it instead of 10 nights.
Hilton Honors has already tightened the requirements twice. The status match for a brief time didn’t require any nights or stays.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that you won’t get Diamond status up front anymore. There has been a cottage industry on the internet that must have provided Hilton Honors with “creative” documents to get matches processed. The member then used his or her Diamond status for a stay or two to get upgrades and executive lounge access.
Gold status gets you free breakfast at all hotels and space available upgrades. It is the best middle level status out there.
