Choice Privileges Diamond Status After One Cambria Stay

Choice Privileges has an interesting offer for members that stay at their Cambria-brand.

There is an on-going status match offer for up to Platinum-status (read more here) for members who have status with competing programs. This Cambria one, however, is for up to Diamond.

You can access Choice’s page for Cambria here.

Here’s the information that Choice has up:

Enjoy upgraded rewards without the wait. When you stay a Cambria hotel, you’ll be awarded Elite status benefits that start you when you check in—and rewards that continue even after you’ve completed your stay.  These exclusive perks include:

  • $10 Cambria Credit – Redeemable at our restaurant and bar, which features local craft beers on tap, or at the marketplace.
  • Double Your Extras – Earn double Your Extras on weekday (Sunday – Thursday) stays and enjoy your choice of a $10 coffee gift card, $5 Uber credit, $5 Amazon gift card or 800 bonus points.
  • Status Match Plus – Have Elite Status at another brand? If so, you’ll be eligible for our top tier, Choice Privileges Diamond Elite Status.
  • And More – You’ll also get other Elite benefits like early check-in, late check-out and preferred parking (where available).

It is unclear, however, how one can utilize this “Status Match Plus” program when staying at Cambria brand and when this offer expires?

Here’s the Choice Privileges elite benefits matrix:

Conclusion

This would be a decent offer if one can get Diamond status with Choice by merely staying at their Cambria-brand once and having a status with a competing program.

I have requested clarification from Choice Privileges how this Status Match Plus-program works and when it expires as there is no information on Choice’s website how one should proceed.
