In case you missed it:

The Conrad Koh Samui is one of the most coveted properties for redemptions across the Hilton Honors network. This luxury resort offers 79 ocean view, sunset-facing villas, all of them featuring private infinite pools with breathtaking views over one of my personal favorite spots in the world: Taling Ngam bay in Koh Samui, Thailand.

Here’s some images and how the property describes the lofty suite from their website:

Admire breathtaking ocean views from this two-bedroom suite, ideal for families or groups of friends. The villa is decorated with contemporary Thai-inspired motifs, tropical woods and designer furniture. The upper foyer encompasses a separate living area with comprehensive entertainment system, powder room, fully equipped kitchenette, and a dining area. The upper floor entrance opens onto an emerald lawn, complete with seating and Gulf of Thailand views.

Relax on the lower level, featuring master and junior suites, a private 12-meter infinity-edge pool, and an outdoor deck. The master bathroom with spa-quality facilities includes an oversized soaking tub, glass-walled rain shower and twin vanity sinks. Each bedroom boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views and open onto a private wooden deck with cushioned lounge chairs.

Conclusion

This was the property I chose to burn all my Hilton Honors points back when the big devaluation of 2013 happened: this hotel went from 50k/night to the current 95k/night. I didn’t have any status with Hilton back then, so I had to put up with their basic 1-bedroom ocean view with private infinite pool villa (#VeryFirstWorldProblems). These villas are absolutely stunning, and the sunsets are on my short list for the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Considering that their basic villas are sold for $600-$800/night, 95k Hilton Honors points can still be considered at good deal, but don’t we all miss the 50k points days right?
