Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium Kit Finally Arrives

Marriott Bonvoy has been sending out Lifetime Titanium welcome packages since late July (read more here). There must have been titanium shortage as mine arrived late last week.

The highest status that you can currently earn lifetime status with Marriott Bonvoy is Platinum. Marriott allowed members in 2018, however, to qualify for Titanium status under three criteria.

You can access Marriott’s page for lifetime status here.

Members can currently earn Silver, Gold, or Platinum lifetime status with Marriott Bonvoy. The lifetime Titanium was offered only in 2018 for those who:

1. Qualified for Marriott Rewards Lifetime Platinum that required (at the end – qualification criteria changed several times over the years) 750 nights (could have been from anywhere) + 2,000,000 million points earned from any activity (credit cards, point purchases, etc.).

2. Qualified for SPG Platinum 10 times (no need to be consecutive) + 750 nights.

3. Had earned Platinum status on SPG and Marriott accounts 10 times and consumed a minimum of 750 nights after combining them.

Here’s the package that I received:

Marriott had a massive mess on its hands with disgruntled SPG members that were all first disqualified from earning the lifetime Titanium:

It would have been nice had they sent a gift to celebrate this status level with the program like what Hilton does, although it is likely difficult to find something that would satisfy most members.

I am glad to have this middle tier lifetime status with Marriott Bonvoy (Silver, Gold & Platinum lower while Ambassador and Cobalt higher). I wish that Marriott would have included a map with all locations marked where I have stayed at.
