Hilton Honors has offered very liberal status match program into its Gold and Diamond levels from competing programs for years. Hilton made changes to the program last time in August (read more here), making Gold and Diamond more challenging to get.
Hilton Honors has today amended the list of programs from which they match. They no longer match from programs that are not listed, such as Shangri-la Golden Circle.
Here are the match requirements:
You get Gold trial status for 90 days. You then need to consume during that period:
- 10 nights for Gold (previously 4 STAYS)
- 18 nights for Diamond (previously 7 STAYS)
Hilton Honors matches member status from several programs (UPDATED):
- Marriott Bonvoy
- IHG Rewards Club
- World of Hyatt
- Best Western Rewards
- Choice Privileges
- Le Club AccorHotels
- Radisson Rewards (New)
- Wyndham Rewards (New)
Hilton Honors no longer matches other programs than the one listed above.
You must send a copy of your membership card (can be a screenshot) or your most recent account activity (screenshot too) and proof of a stay at a hotel within the past 12 months. You should black out any other information than your name and the account number. Note that you must send this information in JPG format only (PNG is quite popular today).
Acceptable forms of status validation include a screenshot of your current and active account status. Acceptable forms of stay validation include a screenshot of your recent reservations or hotel receipt, redacting any personal information other than your name and membership number. We accept .jpg files only. Please do NOT send us any personal information (including your phone number, address, social security number, date of birth, user name, passwords, or credit card information).
Once you have uploaded the info, you should hear back from Hilton Honors within a week. The Gold status is valid for 90 days, and the expiry date is shown on the email. You then need to do the 10 or 18 nights (note NIGHTS not STAYS) to keep it or be upgraded to Diamond.

Hilton Honors is offering separate Gold fast track:
Note that this won’t get you any status upfront. You, however, need 4 stays to complete it instead of 10 nights.
Hilton Honors has already tightened the requirements thrice. The status match for a brief time didn’t require any nights or stays.
It is good that Hilton Honors has now clarified what programs they match. There are — however, worthwhile programs outside of these eight, but perhaps not ones that would be global.
