British Airways Executive Club Hotel Points To Avios 35% Conversion Bonus October 28 – December 2, 2019

British Airways Executive Club has launched hotel points to Avios conversion bonus for transfers executed from select programs between October 28 – December 2, 2019.

The offer is valid from six hotel programs, and British Airways will give you a 35% boost on top of what the hotel program converts to Avios.

Note that there is a discrepancy between the valid conversion dates on the BA’s web page and the T&Cs. The web page state until December 2 while the T&Cs refer to November 28.

Here are the eligible partners:

60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points essentially transfers to 25,000 Avios with the Marriott’s bonus before the additional 35% BA bonus. The total number of Avios earned for 60,000 points to Avios conversion would be 33,750.


I wouldn’t convert points from any of these programs to Avios, considering that you can buy BA’s version of airline miles (Avios) cheaply every month, and hotel points generally are more valuable when used towards free stays.

Here are the terms and conditions of this promotion:

  1. This promotion is only open to Eligible Participants. An Eligible Participant is a person aged 18 or over and is a British Airways Executive Club (“BAEC”) Member (membership Terms and Conditions apply).

  2. By taking part in this promotion, Eligible Participants confirm that they accept these Terms and Conditions.

  3. Participating hotel partners are Radisson Hotel Group, Best Western, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Marriott and Melia Hotels.

  4. Participating hotel loyalty programmes are Radisson Rewards, Best Western Rewards®, Shangri-La’s Golden Circle, IHG® Rewards Club, Marriott Bonvoy™ and MeliaReward points.

  5. To become a member of any of the hotel loyalty programmes visit convert your points and simply choose the relevant hotel partner, follow the links to enrol via their website.

  6. Eligible Participants will receive up to 35% more BAEC Avios (“Bonus Avios”) when they convert Qualifying Hotel Loyalty Points into Avios during the Qualifying Period. “Qualifying Hotel Loyalty Points” means a minimum of requirement of loyalty points earned through the Hotel Loyalty Programme. Minimum amounts vary between hotel partners: Radisson Rewards – 2,000; Best Western – 5000; Shangri-La’s Golden Circle – 2,500; IHG® Rewards Club – 10,000; Marriott Bonvoy™ – 9,000 and MeliaRewards – 100.

  7. The standard earn rate for loyalty points earned through the hotel loyalty programmes varies according to the hotel partner. For example, the Marriott Bonvoy programme starts at 9000 Marriot Bonvoy Points converting to 3000 Avios. For full details on the earn rates per hotel partner please visit

  8. “Qualifying Period” means: Between 28 October – 28 November 2019 for Radisson Rewards, Best Western Reward Points, Shangri-La’s Golden Circle, IHG® Rewards Club, Marriott Bonvoy™ and MeliaRewards.

  9. To participate, Eligible Participants must first enrol if they are not already members and then visit the relevant hotel website to convert their loyalty points into Avios.

  10. Bonus Avios can take 4-6 weeks to show on your account from the date of conversion. Once they have been credited, you can start redeeming them for flights, hotels and Avis car hire. Taxes, fees and charges remain payable by the BAEC Member. Reward flights are subject to availability and capacity control and availability may be limited at peak times.

  11. Loyalty points from the different participating hotel loyalty programmes cannot be redeemed together and must be redeemed separately.

  12. Loyalty points earned with the participating hotel loyalty programmes during the Qualifying Period are valid for this promotion, if they are redeemed within the Qualifying Period.

  13. Bonus Avios is non-redeemable for cash.

  14. Once a transaction has completed, it is non-reversible.

  15. Bonus Avios is issued subject to BAEC Terms and Conditions.

  16. Hotel loyalty scheme membership and earning and redemption of Qualifying Hotel Loyalty Points are subject to the Terms and Conditions of each specific hotel’s loyalty scheme in addition to British Airways Terms and Conditions, as applicable.

  17. Standard Avios are issued in addition to Bonus Avios.

  18. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other British Airways or participating hotel partner offer or promotion.
