Iberia Plus has launched buy Avios promotion that is valid for purchases made through November 17, 2019.
Members can buy Avios at a 50% bonus, and the yearly purchase cap of 100,000 Avios has been doubled before the premium (you can essentially buy 300,000 Avios).

Conclusion
British Airways and especially Iberia had never-ending Avios sales last year (the latter mainly through the Groupon Spanish website).
There are some benefits to using Avios on Iberia’s program instead of British Airways. Considering how complicated and temperamental IB’s website is compared to BA’s (practically impossible to use at times), you can combine Avios purchase from Iberia to British Airways as long as the account information matches.

Bonus will be awarded to the recipient of the Avios. The Purchaser can purchase a maximum of 200,000 Avios in any one calendar year. Therefore purchasing or gifting Avios will no longer be available until January, 1st 2020.
Price includes VAT. Only Euros and US Dollars are accepted as payment currency. A maximum of 200,000 Avios can be purchased in a single calendar year. Purchased Avios are not refundable once confirmed by the client.
