Welcome to our weekly video review on hotel suites and rooms around the world! This week’s edition features the King Hilton Bow Suite, a 53 sq.m. suite at the Hilton Auckland, New Zealand.
The Hilton Auckland opened its doors in 2006 at the Princess Wharf, a former commercial wharf on the Auckland waterfront, which has been redeveloped into a multi-story high-class mixed-use development and cruise ship terminal. The property offers 165 rooms and suites, all of them with unobstructed ocean views due to its unique location.
Here’s some images and how the property describes their Hilton Bow Suite:
270-degree Harbour view, private balcony with outdoor seating, 40-inch TV, sofa, WiFi.
Soak up the 270-degree views of the Hauraki Gulf, the Harbour and the Auckland Bridge from this air-conditioned king suite. Enjoy a drink in the outdoor seating area of the private balcony, designed in the shape of a luxury cruise liner. Relax on the modern Italian furnishings and watch a range of on-demand movies on the 40-inch flat-screen TV, complete with DVD player. Utilize the ergonomic desk chair and catch up with work at the desk. Surf the web with WiFi. Unwind with a soothing soak in the bathtub or the separate walk-in shower. Special touches include a plush bathrobe and slippers.
Here is our video review and commentary on this suite:
The decoration is very minimalist and sober, but with those ocean views no extra décor is needed (in my opinion!). The terrace is nice and large, but it could use an extra coffee/breakfast table.
Rooms at this property sell for about $250 or 60,000 Hilton Honors points per night, and this suite in particular sells from $550/night during the low season. Not cheap!
In case you missed it!
