UPDATE: American Airlines Executive Platinum Status For Select World Of Hyatt Globalists (Came Through)

World of Hyatt and American Airlines launched an offer back in December (read more here), giving select top tier Hyatt members Executive Platinum AA status.

Hyatt and American Airlines launched a partnership in 2019 that was modeled after what Delta used to have with SPG (read more herehere and here).

You can access the partnership page here.

I tried to get mine in via Globalist Congierce, but we never managed to speak over the phone that appeared to be the requirement for this match (I much prefer email).

To my surprise, I received an email yesterday welcoming me to Executive Platinum status with American.

They had also deposited four systemwide upgrades to my account.

Conclusion

It makes sense to sign up for these partnerships and link your accounts. You never know when you might targeted for some bonus points or miles or status match opportunity.

I have lifetime Platinum status with American that maps to Oneworld Sapphire. In recent years, I have credited my Oneworld flights to BA’s Executive Club to reach 35,000 Tier Points and their Gold, which is Oneworld Emerald.
