Marriott Bonvoy Best Rate Guarantee Update (Previously Look No Further)

Marriott Bonvoy called its Best Rate Guarantee (BRG)-program Look No Further (LNF) for years but has now reverted to the industry standard.

There has been a slight change in the program that Marriott has quietly instituted. Design Hotels became non-LNF participating at the end of 2018 (read more here), but has now been added back (early 2020).

You can access Marriott’s page for BRG here.

Here’s the Design Hotels update:

For Design Hotels Partner Hotels, rates found on the Design Hotels™ Website, Design Hotels™ Mobile App and any individual Design Hotels standalone Website & Mobile App are not eligible for the guarantee.

We previously covered (read more here) the fact that Marriott now lists Design Hotels own website as an official site and thus eligible for points at hotels that participate in Marriott Bonvoy (not all of them do):

1.2.c. “Marriott Website” is a website operated by or on behalf of the Company or a Loyalty Program Participating Property and currently includes these websites:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and

These Design Hotels are often cheaper on their main website (, and you can, most of the time, find even lower prices on individual hotels’ websites (like I did last year and the stays posted as qualifying in Marriott Bonvoy).

If you can find a third party website selling these hotels at a lower price, you can again get the BRG to work but at 20% discount or 5,000 points (instead of the Marriott BRG standard of 25%).

This is welcomed change, and perhaps Design Hotels, as a result, have a greater incentive to make sure that their lowest prices are indeed available through the official website.
