W Verbier, the first alpine escape of W Hotels Worldwide, was named World’s Best Ski Hotel 2017 at the reputed World Ski Awards. Just steps away from the main Verbier ski lifts, it offers immediate access to more than 400 kilometers of ski, biking and hiking terrain. W Verbier Retreat mixes contemporary urban alpine design and the hottest W Happenings. The stylish 123 rooms and suites, each with fireplace, Signature W bed and private balcony are perfect for an intimate escape after an exhilarating day outside.

Here’s some official pictures and the property’s description of their Fantastic Suite:

Experience Verbier at its boldest in a Fabulous Suite. Each is unique, but all pair a prime upper floor location with a 15-square-meter balcony showcasing stunning views. Designed for uplifting downtime, the covered space boasts inviting furniture, including wooden trunk tables and built-in sofas with red leather cushions.

Bask in the vista, then venture indoors, where chalet charm meets city sophistication, thanks to natural hues and materials—wood furniture, velvet curtains, and stone floors—juxtaposed with pops of Swiss red. In the living area with fireplace, an armchair and a sofa heighten the mountain mood in your fabulous hotel in Verbier.

Retreat to the sleeping area, where a glittering cluster of light bulbs etched with Swiss crosses cascades from the ceiling, illuminating a cushy cream-colored area rug. Featuring curved edges that recall a skier’s descent, it sets the stage for a signature W bed with innovative lighting underneath the frame. Defined by a glossy grey headboard, pillow-top mattress, goose-down duvet, signature throw blanket, and graphic pillow, it promises an energizing night’s sleep. Floating bedside tables place lighting controls at your fingertips.

W hotel in Verbier offers a custom walk-through cupboard, which mimics the linear organization of a Swiss Army knife, divides the bedroom from the stylish bathroom. Showcasing the room’s rustic-refined character, it magnifies built-in wooden shelves with transparent red glass panels and frosted mirrors. Slip into the oval soaking tub or revel in a relaxing rain shower, then wrap up in a plush W bathrobe and slippers.

Conclusion

Very alpine and very stylish! Perfect retreat for the ski lovers, but it ain’t cheap. A base room at this property sells for 100,000 points or CHF 950 per night during peak season! The Fantastic Suite sells for around CHF 2,500/night.

Ironic question: would SNA certificates work at this property?
